📚 Introduction

This SOP outlines the process for handling initial applications for Social Security Disability (SSD) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits. It covers everything from gathering client information to submitting applications, monitoring outcomes, and triggering the appropriate next steps.

We file:

SSA will review the application and issue either a Notice of Award or Notice of Disapproved Claim. If denied, the case moves to the Reconsideration stage.
