The case closing process ensures that each Social Security Disability (SSD) matter is formally concluded with accuracy, professionalism, and consistency. Whether the outcome is favorable or unfavorable, closing a case involves more than simply updating the CMS—it includes verifying fee payments, managing case costs, submitting formal withdrawals, sending personalized communication to the client, and ensuring all documents are archived and statused appropriately. This SOP provides a clear, repeatable framework for the team to follow to ensure every client is offboarded with efficiently and with clear direction moving forward.
